The second week of my bowling practice has come. Today was more intense than last week’s practice. The coach added some new techniques and skills. Practice starts at around 8 p.m. and finished at 10 p.m.
To start off, I did what I left last week; continue on the aiming and shooting position. Again, I had to do this for more than 15 minutes now, or even longer. I couldn’t tell the exact time, but it was long. Anyway, I learned new techniques and skills for today. After I’m done with the aiming and shooting position, the coach told me to move back to the approach and stand. This was where the new technique starts.
First, the coach showed me how the real approach should look like. He stand at the back of the approach, and move four steps front, and end with his left leg on the front sliding. I looked at him in awe. He did it again, and later he did it while rolling the ball, which was harder to do. And so, I mimicked his approach.
I start off with moving my right leg, and then my left leg, and then right and back to left, where I finish the approach with a slide at the end. I couldn’t do this just once. I had to do this for more than 20 tries until I get used to it and find my most fitting position. The practice was done after that. Two hours of practice worth repeating for.
The approach more or less looked like this:
